Living the Dream

The NaBloPoMo prompt for today was:

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

My Answer is not taking into account any lottery winnings... I want to be realistic ;)

I actually really enjoy living in the small town of Cobourg, located in Southern Ontario, Canada

It is a small town, but with its location on the 401, you have easy access to bigger areas like Toronto and Kingston.

I have lived here for 6 years and the town has grown on me more and more every year.

We have an amazing beach which is actually only a 15 minute walk from my house

There are lots of festivals and events to keep you entertained and out of trouble

Sand Castle Festival (Bonnie Brown)
Harvest Festival (Bonnie Brown)

I am also not too far away from these great places:
  • 1.5 hours from Toronto, Ontario (home of the CN Tower as well as many other things
  • 4 hours from Ottawa (Our Nations capital as well as home to my Ottawa Senators)
  • 2 hours from Kingston, Ontario
  • 3 hours to Watertown, NY (Popular cross boarder shopping location)
  • 5 hours to Binghamton, NY (Location of the Senators Farm Team)
  • AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - My LNS Knowledge and Needles - just 30 mintues away :)

Tomorrow I am off for a mini road trip again... My hometown for a quick visit with my friend Amy, Meeting my Mom for lunch, and a stop at a local quilting store to pick up something for Kathy
Have a great weekend!!

Sounds like a nice little town! And boy, I'm always amazed what people can do with sand!

Good luck with NaBloPoMo!

Ok, I have just found us a new summer date!!

I want you to take me to the beach with the rocks so I can pick some!

Probably not today though, with the snow and all! :-)

Sounds like the most wonderful place to live. You live so close to everything - Do you ever drive to Binghamton?

I spent my elementary school years in Grimsby Ontario, it was quite awhile ago.
