2017 catchup - April & May

Can you believe we are in November already!  I sure can't.
Seriously!  Where has this year gone!

In preparation to blog more in 2018, here is a re-cap of what I've been up to.
Doing in parts to not totally bore you all!

April 2017
As some of you may remember, April is a busy time for me as I work in an accounting firm.  I did manage some stitching though...

First project I worked on was Autumn Leaves.

Next up was Tapestry

Another Ink Circles pattern - Pizzazz was also given some love in April.

May 2017
On May 1st, a few stitching friends and I started TW's Fantasy Triptych.
This is as far as I got
This is as far as I got

Pizzazz also was given more love and a finish happened on the 15th!

After Pizzazz, Reflections of Canada saw some much needed love.

And then there was 7

It's been over a month since I posted last... Again
I was having issues with the app I use on my iPad. But in the past few weeks, I honestly forgot or didn't feel like it. I seem to be posting to Instagram (@bbrown426) more then anything.
Hopefully I can start to keep up!

I am not going to show comparatives, but just update on my 7 current WIP's (in no particular order)

Autumn Leaves (Cross Stitch Collection) - currently on page 11 of 25

Bees Knees from Ink Circles

Santa's Village from Country Cottage Needleworks - 4/12 houses done

Fortunate Traveller from Teresa Wentzler

Witches Wheel from Glendon Place - just need to do the beads. I have decided to pull these ones out and switch to petites.

Twelve days of Christmas whimzies from Just Nan - really need to get back to these!

A Good Marriage from Lizzie Kate - started in August to celebrate my 10th... As you can see I didn't get far on it.

This one isn't included on the 7 since it's a small. This is bluebird tweet from Just Nan. I have purchased all of the little critters, and really need to get working on them!

Update and a finish

April is normally a crazy month for me. This year seemed a little easier, until a cold decided to invade my body.

I've been trying to stitch when I can, but haven't really settled on a particular WIP.

This week I decided to give my Santa's Village some love, and managed to finish the post office tonight.

I now have 3 of the 12 done

Since I last posted I have also given some love to:

Fortunate Traveller

and Bees Knees. The border is complete.

Post IHSW April 2014

This past weekend ( IHSW) I was able to get some stitching in.

After my issues with Baroque, I pulled out Fortunate Traveller. I managed to get all the eyelets done in the inner border

Things with wings - WU Jan 11'14

The them last week was something with wings.
This gave me the opportunity to pull out Fortunate Traveller again :)

I am following Teresa's instructions which meant working on the inner border. There are a TON of eyelets in there!

It's hard to see here, but I've gotten one colour done to the other corner, and started filling in the other 2 colours of eyelets, and started on the lazy dazies.

Saturday I was out most of the day with errands. When I got home I really didn't feel like doing more eyelets, so put FT away and pulled out my HAED
this is where I was as of Saturday night

This theme this week is Hardest Project. Not sure yet what I will work on.
Q: How would you determine what your hardest project is?

Weekly update - week 44

This was Halloween week in the theme rotation. I didn't have anything in my WIP pile that was Halloween and didn't really want to start anything, so I just decided to keep working on my Fortunate Traveller

The border is almost done minus the beads, which will be saved for last

This week is mini project week. Time to work on some ornaments I think!

Weekly update (2013-40)

As mentioned before I am doing a weekly theme rotation. I find it is easier for me then other rotations I have tried... Not sure why. The themes are on Facebook. If you would like to join the group, let me know and I will send you the link.

Last week was new start week. I am the first to admit I have too many WIPS on the go. Instead I went with one of my newest WIPS Fortunate Traveller by TW

Here is my before pic

And here is my after pic

Not too bad if I don't say so myself!

This week is borders and confetti
I think I might just keep working on FT :)

August/September 2013 goals + big update

First my recap from August
1) stitch an ornament DONE

2) decide on ornament for November maybe, but not 100% sure yet

3) focus piece NOPE

So I guess August wasn't so much of a success, even though I did do some stitching.... More on that later

Goals for September
1) Stitch an ornament

2) Start ornament for November retreat

3) try and steal a few hours a week to stitch... Yep it's course time again. I'm doing my first level 4 and there is lots of reading. I just hope to keep up with reading and reward myself with productive stitching

Now on to what I have actually done
I didn't keep great track of what I worked on during August so I have decided to give an update on all my WIPS.

Aury TM's Snowy Christmas

Teresa Wentzler's, Fortunate Traveller

Cross Stitch Collectibles, Autumn Leaves

Ink Circles, Rosetta

The Drawn Thread, Sampler Game-board

Told in a Garden, Celtic Banner

Fortunate Traveller #1

On May 1st I started Fortunate Traveller with Beatrice, Christin, and Dani

Here is where I'm at after 4 days of stitching

I am putting this away and going to work on something else for a few days. Yes, I am attempting a rotation again, just not sure what the "rules" will be yet.

Last night my SENS won game 4!  I actually got to attend the third game on Thursday.  Going to a playoff game (preferably the SENS) was on my bucket list :)

Here are a few pics from Sunday night
