January 2019 update

January is finally over, and hopefully that means the miserable cold goes away too!

STITCHING
  • January 1 - Started Shakespeare's fairies with Christin, Becca, Dani, and Dale.

  • January 16 - Finished Dark Shards - my first finish of 2019!

  • January 27 - Finished my January ornament.  This is Dashing through the snow from JCS 2018 xmas edition

KNITTING
  • January 10(ish) - Re-started my next pair of socks, which I have named Red Harbour (for the pattern i'm using, Petty Harbour)

  • January 24 - Finished my Sockhead cowl, which I LOVED doing.  I used Lizzie Anne Yarns in Beach Glass for this.

2017 Week 48 &49 - an Autumn Surprise

Well what do they say about plans....
I am behind again, so doing 3 weeks in one.

The last time I posted, I was working on Touching the Autumn Sky with the thought that one more finish in 2017 would be awesome.

Other than a tiny bit of work on Ink Circles Tapestry for Ink Circle Monday, I did well to work on miss Autumn, and actually FINISHED HER!!!

Touching the Autumn Sky
Finished Dec 4'17
This means I have finished 3 WIP's since September and I decided I deserved a NEW START!
NEW START
Fairy Alighting - X's and O's
Started Dec 5'17
Steph's Geillis, called for DMC

I didn't get as much stitching as I wanted to last week and on the weekend, but here is where she is now

2017 Week 47 - The leaves have stopped falling but Miss Autumn makes an appearence anyway

Monday didn't see much stitching as I wasn't feeling the greatest.

But Tuesday I definitely made up for it.
You see... I FINISHED LEAVES!!!
Yes!  After 5+ years of working on this WIP on and off, it is finally done
I really enjoyed working on this, but definitely glad it is done.

Wednesday I decided to pull out another WIP, even though I really wanted a new start.
I decided to give Touching The Autumn Sky some love.
This is where I started this week

And here is where I was Saturday night

That was it for the week.
The goals this week are an Ink Circles WIP on Monday for #InkCirclesMonday (#ICM) - something Christin another friend Rebecca are doing with me on Instagram.  Please come join us if you want!
Then Tuesday, I will be back to Miss Autumn as long as the new starts stop pestering me!

Have a wonderful week!
Bonnie

2017 catchup - June and July

Can you believe we are in November already!  I sure can't.
Seriously!  Where has this year gone!

In preparation to blog more in 2018, here is a re-cap of what I've been up to.
Doing in parts to not totally bore you all!

June
Reflections of Canada got some more love in early June, and saw a FINISH on June 4th

Santa's Village was pulled out of storage for some stitching but not much... I truly had a hard time staying with this one.

The last project that got some attention in June was Touching The Autumn Sky.

July
July was a crazy month for me with studying for 2 University Exams.  Even though they were 1/2 credit courses, that didn't mean the study time decreased.

Cirque des Coeur saw some attention

As well as my leaves.

I also saw something new and shinny in July... A NEW CAR!  We finally became a 2 person household which was much needed with Blair commuting for work.
Meet my 2017 Kia Soul in Wild Orange.

2017 Week 9 - Autumn Sky... say what?

This week it was time for Miss Autumn (aka Touching the Autumn Sky) to get some love
I don't believe I have shared this one with you yet. Dani, Christin, Bekka, and I started this on the first day of Autumn. Well I actually didn't... I had a fabric delay, but got started soon after.

Here is miss Autumn to date. I'm stitching her on Steph's Blue Sky (I think that's the name!)

This week I will be giving some love to the only wip I haven't touched this year... any guesses?
