    March and April 2021 plans

As most of my long-time readers know, I am an accountant in Canada.  Our Personal "Tax Season" has a NORMAL deadline of Apirl 30th.  This means March and April are CRAZY BUSY for me.

Some years are better, but with COVID, I have really not slowed down from last year this time.

So... I am grouping March and April plans in one post, and I may not update until the first week of May
This will hopefully take some stress off of a hobby that is one of my 2 stress relievers (Stitching and now Knitting)

I'm also keeping my plans very minimal

    1.    Ink Circles Day

I am still planning on doing a minimum of 2 hours on an Ink Circles on Sundays.  I will concentrate on Henna, but may pull Castle Walls out as well

    2.     Jardin de Plaisir

This will be my main WIP that I will pick up.  No pressure on how much, just to enjoy it.

    3.    Peppermint Purple SAL

I would like to catch up and stay caught up on the rectangle version.

Other considerations:  I also try and make some progress on my ornaments, but not going to stress about it.

If you would like to see more current updates, I will be updating my Instagram account more frequently

    February 2021 plans

I don’t want to make too many plans for February due to work.

    1.    Ink Circles Day (Sundays atm)

I plan to stitch on Henna Mandala and Castle Walls on Sundays

    2.    Jardin De Plaisir

I would like to finish page 2 in February

    3. Winter Snowfall

I would like to see a bit of progress but putting a set amount on it

    4. Stitch an ornament

I plan to start the 2nd ornament in the series from Shannon Christine

    5. Keep up with the Peppermint Purple SAL

This plan only includes the rectangle version.  If I can keep up with The square version, that would be a bonus.

    Summary:

All in all I managed to stitch 28 out of the 31 days (even if just for a bit).  The other days I knit, so I say this was a win!

Mid Month Update - January 2021

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We are in a new year, but some things are still the same.
I hope you all are coping with this crazy world as much as you can!

I hope to blog more often this year, but don't want to set myself with a schedule I can't keep.  So trying to at least month a month, and also trying for a mid-month post when I can.

    My January Plans

    1. Start Jardin de Plaisir from Long Dog Samplers

    2. Join Christin for Ink Circles day once a week (For January we are doing Sundays)

    3. Stitch an ornament

    4. Start the Peppermint Purple SAL

    5. Take part in the #24HOCS event in January (can I get to 24 Hrs??) and start Winter Snowfall (also with Christin)

    How it is going:

    1. I did start Jardin de Plaisir.  I'm loving this project, and hope to continue to show it love through the rest of January

    2. So far I'm 3/3 for weekends.  My plan is to stitch a minimum of 2 hrs each Sunday on an Ink Circles pattern.

    • Jan 3rd - Dragons of Sumatra (No pic... oops)
    • Jan 10th - Henna Mandala
    • Jan 17th - Henna Mandala

    3. My January ornament is finished

This is from Shannon Christine’s Ornament Club

    4. I actually started 2 versions of the Peppermint Purple SAL.  I'm doing the rectangle version in the charted colours (I love Clare's use of colour).  I decided I really like the square version too, but wanted a different colour scheme.  I went to Stitch Pallets and found a pic that I loved to inspire me.

    Rectangle version - charted dmc

    Square version - own colours

    4. The first 24 hours of Cross Stitch marathon is this weekend.  I took Friday off to get an early start :)  I will be posting lost of updates on Instagram this weekend if you want to follow my progress.

    Other stuff:

I'm also attempting TUSAL this year again
Here are my orts up to January 13th
