Blog Hop #12 - Being Thankful

The blogging prompt for hop #12 is:

When it comes to the stitching part of your life, what are you most thankful for?

This is probably one of the easiest prompts I have had to answer.  I am most thankful to the stitching friends I have met, especially the ones I met at the Knowledge and Needles Open House back in August 2009.  Not only do I have a great group of ladies to stitch with, I have made some amazing friends who I can't imagine not being in my life.

If you want to read more about my meeting these amazing people you can check out the flowing posts:

There are a ton more with outings, but I think these sum up my meeting them :)

Stiching Bloggers Blog Hop #11

Since it is NaBloPoMo, I have decided to participate in the Stitching the Night away Blog Hop.

The blogging prompt for hop #11 is:

What has been your most unusual or most interesting stash acquisition to date?

For my most unusual, I would have to say my last Ink Circles pattern.

Little Alien Girl - Ink Circles

When I first saw this pattern I didn't know if I liked it or not.  The more I looked at it the more I liked it.  I wasn't going to buy it, but my LNS had it and it magically jumped into the pile ;)  No idea when I will get around to stitching this one, but there is just something about it.  And, if you know me at all you know I have a soft spot for Ink Circle patterns lol

For the most interesting (could also be unusual too) I would have to say my collapsible foot rest.

What you ask??

Well a stitching friend had one at retreat one year and then Dani found come and picked them up for a few of us.  Here is a picture of what it looks like (photo from web, not mine)

So when you find them, this is how they come.  They actually fit really nicely in those reusable grocery bags when they are folded down.

Then you fold it open and it looks something like this:

They work great to put your feet up when not at home and in your comfy recliner.  The lid also opens up and you can use it for storage... great for storing my stitching blanket when not is use, or your camera etc.  If you go places to stitch and always want to put your feet up, this is a great idea.  I LOVE IT!
