IHSW - April 2018

Did you hear that IHSW is still going!  It has grown in popularity again thanks to the Facebook Group.

This weekend is the 3rd of the month, which means it is a hermit Weekend!

Being that it is April, I won't be able to stitch the weekend away... but I will try and get done what I can!

Update + IHSW August 2014

It's been a while since I have done a real update
I have attempted the weekly theme rotation, but not having much luck with it

Up until Aug 2nd I was giving Celtic Banner lots of love. Here is where it sat before it went back in the WIP basket



Next I gave some love to another WIP that hasn't seen the light of day for awhile, Autumn Leaves. I managed to get a page done. Just one more and I will be fully across the top.



Next up I pulled out my Santa's Village and started the post office
Here is where I was before switching again on Friday

Next WIP I worked on, which happened to be over IHSW, was Ink Circles Baroque. I managed to get the first motif done.



My next CGA exam is September 4th.
I think I will keep working away at baroque when I have some stitching time. It's easy to leave out and only has one thread colour :)

This past weekend ( IHSW) I was able to get some stitching in.

After my issues with Baroque, I pulled out Fortunate Traveller. I managed to get all the eyelets done in the inner border

Even though it is a long weekend, I will be working Friday and Saturday.  I am hoping to have some relaxing time on Friday evening, Saturday evening and most of Sunday though!

IHSW - Post February 2014 + Wings - WU February 22'14

IHSW - Post 2014

Well another IHSW has come to an end

First up let's talk about the theme "something with wings"

Normally I would have loved this as it would mean I would pull out Fortunate Traveller.  Since I was going to have a busy week, this wouldn't work.  I waisted more time thinking about what to stitch then actually stitching!

For Sunday I used creative license and worked on the Sampler Gameboard.  I'm sure some of these fancy houses have "wings"

Here is where I got to - I finished one house

Next I pulled out Santa's Village.  I didn't think I could get it into the theme until I noticed the button on the second one - Poinsettia Place was a bird.  Even though I'm not stitching it, it works for me :)

I managed to get to here by Friday night

Now for the IHSW tie in...

Friday night I worked on the village as I said above.  This was 100 hermit-ting, unless you count the cats bugging me

On Saturday, I stitched most of the day, but was with a friend, Beatrice.  So I guess you could call that hermit-ting with a friend ;)

Here is my progress as of Saturday afternoon - not a lot of progress, but not bad.

Saturday night I didn't feel like stitching (crazy I know!) so no more to post.

Next week is Hardest project week.... I find deciding what makes a project "hard" is the hard part!! Lol

IHSW and retreat

This past weekend was the first IHSW of the year.  I stitched, but hermiting was done with 17 other people!

You see, I was at the January Retreat!

Post IHSW + Finishes

This post is late coming. I woke up Christmas morning with either a stomach bug or the flu. I am finally feeling better.

I got a bit of stitching done during IHSW.
I worked on the Holiday treat from Dragon Dreams (posted on Facebook)



On Saturday I started Lizzie Kate's To Do List. Christin and I planned to start it on Christmas Day but that was the furthest thing from my mind.
Tonight I finished it!



Tonight hubby and I are enjoying a quiet night in. Today is actually the 10th anniversary do the day he proposed :)
