August 2018 plans

Well Hello August!

I hope with your arrival, my stitchy bug comes back to hang out!  Since July was so crazy, I am reducing my plans for August.  If I do more... GREAT!

1) ORNAMENT A MONTH
  • Not sure what it will be, but I know it will be small and easy.  I also hope to get 2 done this month... so I'm back on track
2) YEAR IN CHALK
  • September is up next
3) SALS
  • I am currently in 3 SAL's... although only actively in 2... The Dutch Tile SAL and the Long Dog Sal.
  • I will try and get a part on each, but will be happy with getting a part on at least one
4) MYSTERY
  • I had a goal to finish by a specific date, but I don't' think that is possible now.  I am going to try and focus on this until that date to see how far I can get.  After that... no matter if it is done or not, I will be able to post pics :)
That's it!
Lets hope my update has more to offer than July did!!!

  • April 23rd - Kept going with Tapestry, since it was out from the weekend

  • April 30th - got home at a decent time and pulled Oscar's Corsage back out

How did you do in April?  Accomplish your goals?

Week 16 - Is that you spring?

Morning all
As I write this the sun is actually shinning... maybe there is hope to see spring in April!

Last week was another busy one at work.  I did manage to stitch a bit though!  I feel so much better (especially stress wise) when I do

Monday I had a new start for Ink Circles Monday.  This will also be my new travel project until I get more thread for Valentina and then after that one is done.
Not much of a start... but a start

After that I pulled out my ornament.  I felt like I was running out of time, even though we are only 1/2 way into the month when I started.
I finished early Saturday evening

Next (and last) on my list was a focus WIP.  I had tapestry in mind, and even though I wasn't sure I was feeling it, I decided to go for it.
Here is where it was when I pulled it out

And after some stitches on Sunday.  Not as focused stitching session as I wanted, but progress is progress.

Something else happened this week... I was featured as the Blogger of the week!
It was very weird to actually see posted!

This week I will be busy with work and my Birthday (YAY!!) so I will probably just keep plugging away at Tapestry when I have time.

Can't wait until the 1st when I can bring Year in Chalk and Sneek back out.

Have a great week all!

Some finishing

Last night I had a happy dance

Snow White - Little House Needleworks

I needed to finish an ornament for an exchange to mail out this week. I recently bought a bunch of supplies to help me in finishing ornaments other than the usual "pillow" finish (I call it anyway)
Instead of just doing one ornament, I did 3 and also finished Snow White like one too. Here are 2/3 of the ornaments and Snow White.

I am going to hang Snow White on my door at work :)
Now... Of to read the history of income tax in Canada...
