2020 updates - Week 4

This week didn't see much stitching

Work kicked my butt, and ended up crashing early most nights.

Saturday, I was out all day, so again no stitching.

I did manage to keep up with the Peppermint Purple SAL though... thanks to getting up a bit early on Wednesday morning

Hoping this coming week sees more progress on Tapestry before it goes away for my February goals.

The other thing I'm trying to do this year is keep up with my orts for TUSAL
We had a new moon on Friday, so here are my orts from Jan 1 until the 24th

2019 ORTS

For a number of years, I have kept my ORTS until December 31st each year.

Then, on January 1, I put into a clear ornament and start again.

2019 will be my 8th ornament

I plan to do the same in 2020, and I might even attempt TUSAL again

Week 24 - a bit of everything including TUSAL

First up this week was I finished my Year in Chalk for July.  I am using the called for GAST chalk thread and either the called for accent, or something similar I had in my stash.  I am also using Steph's Slate fabric in 32ct linen.

Wednesday night I actually attended at pottery session.  At the Girls Night Out in Cobourg, I made a little pinch pot and this was glazing it.  I will share a pic when I pick it up after it is fired again.  I am hoping to turn it into an ort pot or something else for my stitching.

Thursday I got to work on the next part of Sneek.  Here is my progress to Sunday night

I had worked on Sneek for the rest of the week except on Saturday for a bit.  While visiting my friend Kathy last weekend, I feel in love with her little SAL from Fuzy Fox designs on Etsy. I had seen it before and thought it was adorable, but seeing it in person made me break and I got the pattern parts that have been released.  I looked through my stash and found a fabric that I liked.  This one is also from Steph on 32t Linen.

A note about comments - For some reason we still aren't getting them emailed to us.  I have been bad at trying to reply, but I am going on blogger weekly and looking at them.  So please keep commenting, and I will get better at replying if I can!

Ever get the feeling some of your orts have disappeared?  I thought I did more stitching in the past month, but I guess when you use a lot of one colour they just don't accumulate.

The next TUSAL is April 16th.  I sense a lot of purple :)

Tusal 2018 - February

Well it seems I'm behind again on something... I totally forgot about TUSAL in January!

Luckily I got notifications from the TUSAL Facebook group yesterday as my reminder for the February edition!  I still forgot to post last night... so a day late it is!

The ort report - 2017 edition

On the morning of January 1st, I did what I have done for a few years now.... clear out the orts from the prior year to get ready for the current year.

Also for the past few years, I have made an ornament out of my orts.

This year I am going to partake in TUSAL again... I just hope I can keep up with it!

I have decided to participate in TUSAL this year. I was basically participating last year, just not blogging.

I'm also planning to post my TUSAL each month on Instagram too.

This is my new travel ort container. This was included in my retreat goody bag from last weekend. I LOVE the colour - a perfect orange.

2016 ORT report

First step this morning was cleaning out the small and big ort jars

On May 8th I started and finished the stitching on May 24th

I still need to do the beads, which take this pattern to a totally different level
