December Ornament Sal

This month I finished finished up a bunch of ornaments, which I have showed you earlier this month

At the request of hubby, I made my Mother in Law an ornament. She LOVES Eeyore so I found a pattern with him in it.




The back I did myself, based on the border around the front. I looked up Christmassy quotes from him and found this one. Hubby signed off on it just in case you are worried lol

Some ornaments

I realized tonight that I have been a bad blogger again
After my exam I have kinda checked out of everything.... Studying for it really took a lot out of me. Hopefully my next course won't be as bad. I think it will be in one aspect, as it isn't open book. I spend a lot of time marking up the Canadian tax act!

Anyway, on to more festive topics...

All the backs are the same, except they all include their specific number



I also went stash diving and made some ornaments using the sulky blendables and Rosewood Manors Red Threads.













I have a few things to show you, but as they are gifts for people who might read this :)

November 2013 Ornament SAL

Stitching Lotus has been doing a monthly Ornament SAL all year.
I have been really good and have actually participated every month!

This month I actually stitched up the last two dragon dreams ornaments so I can work on getting them on my tree this year

Ornament suggestions

As some of you know, I have been doing the dragon dreams 12 dragonlets this year as an ornament a month.
I now have them done! (you will see last two with ornament SAL at the end of them month)

So now onto finishing them.

I been thinking about what I want to do pretty much since I started them, but couldn't decide.
Well over the weekend, I decided, but just had to get the plan down on paper.

Last night I stitched the back part for Day 1.

I really like what I did with it, and think this little project will be perfect over the next few weeks when I only have a few minutes here and there to stitch.

Here is where you come in...
What do you think?
Should I include beads when I stitch them together?
What colour do you think I should use for the hanger?

I would prefer to keep them all alike.

Ornament sal + update

On the weekend I managed to stitch my ornament for June

I decided to keep going with the dragon dreams series. Here is day 6






Speaking of the weekend I went on a little adventure starting Thursday night.
I drove over 900 kms to Arlington Heights, which is a 'burb of Chicago.
Why you ask? Well there was a stitching retreat that I was invited to!

The drive was long, but SO worth it! I don't think I have laughed so hard in my life!!!

April 2013 Ornament

I managed to get an ornament done in this crazy month.  I kept it easy and continued with the Dragon Dreams 12 days of Christmas.  Here is day #4 - 4 calling Birds.

March'13 WIPocolypse and Ornament SAL

Today is WIPocolypse day!

I think I did pretty good since last month.

First off I had a massive HAPPY DANCE!

Now for the Ornament SAL update.  I did get an ornament done as well this month!
I went back to working on the Days of Christmas from Dragon Dreams.

Day 3 - 3 French Hens

The desolation of Smaug, IHSW post Mar'13, and post retreat

I had a GREAT weekend at retreat, which was held in Brighton Ontario at the Timber House.




Friday night I was fed up with Smaug! I ended up throwing it in the fire!!




DON'T WORRY!!!!! I only burned my working copy and the horrible thread ;). After 7 + years working on it it was great to sign my name to this WIP

After I finished the back stitching early Friday night, I pulled out my Lizzie Kate ABC Christmas. I am now 50% done!




When I put my LK away I decided to pull out an ornament to work on since I haven't done one for March yet!

This is where I was as of tonight. It is day #3 from Dragon Dreams (3 French hens).

Oh just in case you are curious, I think my exam Thursday night went well. I will find out for sure on May 2nd. Until then, no more courses, but there will be tax season. Lots more stitching anticipated though!!
