2017 catchup - October

Here is the last of my catch up posts!
I will get November posts up in the next few days and then hopefully weekly again!

Even though I like the ease of Instagram, I have missed blogging.

October
The first 2 weeks of October saw a MUCH NEEDED VACATION.  I didn't make any big plans, just relaxing time and a few short trips.  The one thing we did plan was to back to Quebec City for Thanksgiving.

The first thing on the list for October was to get the buttons on Santa's Village.
It is now FINALLY DONE!

Leaves got some much needed love this month as I push to finish this year.

October 30th

The biggest thing in October wasn't actually stitching related.
I officially graduated from University with an Honours Bachelors of Commerce from Laurentian University.  Blair, our mom's and I traveled the 6 hrs to attend.  Long drive but totally worth it!
So with that... the education portion of my accounting designation is now done.  Just have to sit down and make sure I have all the professional experience and get that paperwork done... just have to find some time!

Weekly update - week 44

This was Halloween week in the theme rotation. I didn't have anything in my WIP pile that was Halloween and didn't really want to start anything, so I just decided to keep working on my Fortunate Traveller

The border is almost done minus the beads, which will be saved for last





This week is mini project week. Time to work on some ornaments I think!

I'M DONE!

Yep I'm done

I am finished my current course in the CGA program!

as I'm not happy with one of them

I handed in my last assignment tonight and my next course (Tax 1) doesn't start until the first week of December. I currently have a mark of 73 (65 is a pass) so I will end up with at least that, and I'm okay with that (not overly happy, but ok).

This is one of two courses that do not have an exam at the end.
Do you know what this means???
Yep I might actually get a good amount of stitching done this month!!!

WIPocalypse reminder + PV

Today is a reading day.

I am behind in my readings and need to stop procrastinating and just do it.
Taking a little break for tea (pumpkin chai... yum) and looking at a few blogs

I wanted to remind you all as well that the sign up for the WIPocalypse will be closing soon.
Per Measi's post:

Well tea is ready and it is already after 1pm.  I should get to my readings and figure out how to do present value on my new calculator ($40!... think of all the stash I could have bought with that)

I am hoping to relax after dinner and do some more stitching on my winter mandala.
Tomorrow is assignment 1 day.

Well I did it.  With this post I have posted everyday in November and managed to complete NaBloPoMo.

Today I was off from work and had a study day.  Exam is tomorrow night...

So for today, I am just going to show how my Cirque has progressed through this crazy month

Stitching update

Where has the past few weeks gone??  or better yet, where did May go??

I haven't been able to stitch as much as I would have wanted in the past few weeks, but some is better than none.

On Sunday, my mommy came down and helped me plant some shrubs in my front flower bed.  OMG was I ever sore and tired on Monday!!  I will try and take some pics on Sunday... if they haven't died before then lol

On monday I aslo started my next course.  It looks like it is going to be very challenging, but hopefully I can do it and still have a few hours a week to stitch :)

This weekend I am off to Georgian Bay for a stitching weekend.  Can't wait!!!  I hope I can get lots done on CdC.

HOORAY

Well my first CGA exam is done and over with.  I know I had a few issues on a couple of questions, but I am sure I at least passed it.
My next course is all about economics... can you say FUN??? :)
I have a week off between courses, and plan to spend the weekend not thinking about courses!! 
Hubby and I plan to see a few movies on Saturday, especially the new Harry Potter, and hopefully the new Rock movie Faster.
Hopefully I will be able to get some stitching in too!!
