I am not sure what I am going to concentrate on next.  Will Paradigm Lost call to me again?  Should I start that dragon that hubby wants me to do for him?  Only time will tell :)

On another topic, Cobourg had its annual Sandcastle festival a few weeks ago.
Below are a few pics for you to enjoy

If you ever get a chance to check them out, you should.

Hope you all have a great rest of the weekend, and a great week.

Computer Issues

So much for my idea to blog more often again!
I have been wanting to, but the adapter for my Laptop fried and i'm trying to get a new one from Dell.  If you have ever dealt with their sales office, you can understand my frustration

I have had a couple of good productive weekends working on ICK.  I have finished the top half minus the little bit of backstitching and am now onto filling in the colour on the bottom half.

I hope to have my new adapter this week and hope to post after the weekend.

Hope everyone has a great week

Family and Stitching

I had no idea it has been so long since I last posted.

Last weekend (June 12/13) I went to visit my cousin Bill and his family at his cottage in the Muskokas.  A bunch of the family was up to look at the memorial garden that was started 2 years ago after the death of my uncle Bill.

Saturday's weather was a little chilly and damp, but we enjoyed sitting around the camp fire.  Saturday night Bill and Tish cooked an amazing dinner for us.  Smoked roast beef, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, dill carrots, and these baked onions.  SO YUMMY!!

Sunday after a big filling breakfast we went for a boat ride around the lake of bays.

I didnt' get much stitching done but had a wonderful relazing weekend.
Here are some pictures from the weekend

One word.... HEAVEN

Well again it has been a few weeks since my last post.  I have had a few productive days in the stitching area including this past weekend.

Friday afternoon I was picked up by Rebecca, her mom Sylvia, and Trista.  We were on our way to Georgian Bay to visit with Sheila.  We had a nice lunch at Lonestar and continued on our way.  Traffic was good and we arrived around 4pm.  There was 13 of us in total for the weekend.
Friday night was stitching, and some great BBQ provided by Sheila's husband Smitty and she made us some delicious salads.
Saturday was a little windly and grey out, but we had an amazing little room to stitch in.  It over looked the bay.  After a pretty productive day of stitching, we headed to a small Italian restaurant for dinner.  The food was pretty good.
Saturday night was more sitching and lots of laughter.
Sunday was a dreary raining day, but we did get more stitching in.  The four of us left around 1pm and had a decent drive home.

All in all, a wonderful stitching weekend surrounded by a group of amazing ladies.
Here are a couple of pics from the weekend

Happy Dance plus WIP update

2 weeks since my last post...not planned, but what can you do.

On Friday the 7th after work, I started my drive towards Kingston.  I picked up Rebecca, and we headed on our way to Ottawa to Dani's.  We arrived around 9:30pm and were met my Dani and Christin.  We sat up and chatted for a bit and stitched.  In the morning we got up had a quick bite to eat and started stitching while we awaited for our other friends.  We were soon joined by Lynn, Kathy, Beatrice, and Lori.

We had a wonderful day chatting and stitching.

Sunday Morning, Rebecca and I headed out and I dropped her off at her Mom's place.  After a quick bite to eat (thanks again by the way :) ) I left her with her family and I headed on my way back home.

Last weekend was lower key.  I cut my grass Saturday morning and had planned to stitch most of the day away.  Silly me decided to take a Benedryl (since I get itchy after cutting grass).  I ended up sleeping for 3 hours and was awoken by my mom around 1pm.  I checked text messages and realized I had to do a fast clean of the house and get some groceries since I offered to cook Blair and his friend Mike dinner.  I did manage a bit of stitching inbetween, but not as much as I had planned.

I have done some stitching during the nights, catching up on TV shows.  Hubby and I decided that we are sick of Bell's run a round and are getting rid of our Satelitte Dish, so we need to clean up the PVR.
I think I have worked on all my major WIP's over the past 2 weeks.
See below for some pics.

As for the Happy Dance... I finished the orange butterfly ( JBW designs).  It was the WIP I carry to work and in my Purse.  I worked on it a bit while waiting for blood work on Wednesday and haven't been able to put it down.

Small Happy Dance

Tonight I finished the Black outline for my Ink Circles Kaliedescope.
Small Happy dance, but still a happy Dance.
You see I have wanted to some colour in my life, but was determined to finish the outline first!
Here it is as of tonight.

Flowers and weekend

Monday was my Birthday.  My hubby sent me flowers at work
Here is what they looked like on Monday.
And here they are on Thursday

I also received a Plant from my work

(left) from Blair, (middle) card from co-worker, (right) plant from work

Friday night after work I had my last night of Darts for the season.  I didn't do too badly and even got a double out during our games.  We then found out after winning the last game that my team was tied with my husbands team.  We then had to play one game to decide 1st place in division B.  Well.... I have bragging rights for the rest of the summer!  Our team beat his team, and I was the one who got the double out!!  WOOT!!

Saturday morning I got up and drove to Rebecca's.  Just after 10am, we went to the Cataraqui Guild of Needle Arts "Needle Arts Fair" in Kingston.  We of course stopped by Ann's booth.  We looked around at the other vendors and took a look at the gallery from the guild.  After a light lunch provided by the guild, we then made a stop at Michaels and then went to the Cataraqui Mall.  After that I got a tour of the Theatre where Rebecca works.  Very nice place.

Finally we headed back to Rebecca's place where another stitcher Trista was waiting for us.  We prepared dinner and then starting to stitch.  Dani (who had been helping Ann) and Christin came over after dinner and stitched with us for the evening.  This morning Rebecca and I stitched, had breakfast and then stitched some more.  Dani and Christin joined us again and we stitched, ate lunch, and stitched some more.  Around 3pm this afternoon I decided it was time to head home.  What a great weekend after a long tax filled month!

Here is my progress on Kaliedescope after this weekend

Hope everyone has a great week!  I know for me it will probably be longer than normal since I have another big stitching weeeknd ahead!

Small Update

Oh how I will beglad when Friday will be here as it means the end of tax season.

This will probably be the last chance to post before the weekend.

This month I did not get as much stitching time as I wanted, but when I did I worked on Kaleidoscope.

Ink Circles Kaleidocsope - April 27, 2010

This weekend I will be going to the Merchant market put on by the Cataraqui Guild in Kingston .  I am driving to Rebecca`s and then going with her.  Dani is helping out at the Knowledge and Needles booth and might come over with Christin to Rebecca`s in the evening.  I have been looking forward to some real stitching time all month!

Hopefully I will have a better progress picture next week!!

EDIT:
On a side note, I have decided to sell Regal products again.  If you are in my area and are interested in a Catalogue, let me know

TUSAL and ICK

I realized today that I have missed the March and April TUSAL updates.
Don't have a pic of march but since I am only 1 day late for April I took a pic.

The black on top is from My Kaleidoscope.
I also took a pic of Kaleidoscope.  I am currently on page 3 of the black outline

That is about it on the stitching front.

Saturday night I got to do something I have wanted to do for a long time... attend a NHL game.  Bonus was it was the Ottawa Senators, who hubby and I cheer for.  It was an extra special night since they were celebrating Alfreddson's 1000th game.   It was a good game, but unfortunately they lost.
We then went to Dan'i house to stay the night and joined them for breakfast on Sunday morning.
I did manage to get a little bit of stitching done at her house on the Sunday.
All in all... a great weekend.

An overdue update

Wow how time flies!  I can't believe it has been since March 26th since I last posted!

Work has been keeping me busy... I work for an Accounting Firm and Canadian Taxes are due April 30th.
Working extra hours at night and working Saturdays has been eating into my stitching time.

On a good note though, I am finally feeling 100% better...FINALLY!  Yes I finally broke down and went to my Doctors.  After 2 Emerg visits and still not better, I figured it was better to bite the bullet and take the few hours off from work do it.  I really like my Doctor and he is about 45 mintues away.  He put me on a strong Antibotic for 14 days.  Sounds like whenever I was starting to feel better, someone else shared there bug with me and I got sick again.  I think I will have to start to build up my immune system in January next year so this doesn't happen again!

I have been doing some stitching in between work.  I did manage to finish a small ornament using crushed walnut shells as recommended by Dani.  I will post a picture soon.  I have also been working on my Kaleidoscope by Ink Circles.  I am currently on page 3 of doing the black.  I figured with not being able to stitch for long periods of time I would stitch all the black first.

I have been counting down on facebook and windows live for the past week (or a little longer)... well the sleeps are finally up and tonight I get to join Hubby at our first NHL game.  We are driving up to Ottawa (3hrs aprox) to see the Senators vs. Buffalo.  We borrowed an extra jersey and both of us have older sens hats in case there is a hat trick.  Can you tell i'm excited??? lol.  Tonight is also the celebration of Alfredson's 1000th game as a SEN and everyone in attendance will be given a free T-shirt.  Cool EH!
I am taking my new camera with me and hope to get some awesome pics tonight... or at least of my hubby and I decked all out in our SENS gear.

Hope you all have an great weekend!!

A surprise and lots of stitching

So i said a little white lie on my last post.  I said I was off to the Knowledge & Needles spring Retreat on Friday, but I actaully arrived on Thursday....My reasoning?  We attended Ann's 60th SURPRISE Birthday Party!  She was totally surprised!!  It was a great night and I got to see a few of the ladies that were not going to be at the retreat.

Well for some reason I was not in a photographing mood.... so I do not have before or after pics.  I wish I had of taken a few pics... but what can you do.

First I stitched on my IC Bramble and Rose.  I am doing it on 25ct over 1.  I had a visit from a tiny frog, but it wasn't too bad.

Then I pulled out IC Kaliedascope.  I worked on this for the rest of my stitching time.  I did manage to get almost all the black outline done on the 1st quarter.
Here is a pic of it... which I stole from Ann's site

On Saturday we went for lunch at Ann's.  Dan and his helpers cooked us a really good chicken and rice dish.  For desert we had a brownie bottom bailey's cheese cake... so yummy!
I did a bit of damage to my cheque book in the store, but not too bad.  I picked up a cute little pair of scissors, TIAG Celtic Banner, and Mirabillia's Sabrina.
Now to try and get something else done so I can start one of these...or something else.

All in all it was a really good weekend.  Love seeing the ladies again!
